Resources for
Credentialing

There are a number of resources available to help service members with credentialing costs. The Navy Tuition Assistance Program and the Montgomery GI Bill (GI Bill) can help defray supplemental education costs. Other programs in the Departments of Navy, Defense, and Veterans Affairs can also help with supplemental training and education costs.

The Navy's Credentials Program Office has a limited amount of certification/license exam voucher funds that may be used by enlisted personnel towards specifically-identified certifications and licenses. These vouchers will be issued on a "first-come, first-served" basis.

Approval for a voucher or for reimbursement of credentialing expenses must be received from the Navy Credentials Program Office by the member BEFORE taking any action, to include registering for, scheduling or partaking in an exam, or any other action that would obligate the expenditure of funds. Failure to receive the approval for the voucher in advance subjects the member to personal liability for the payment, without reimbursement from the Navy.
