Hezbollah, the Lebanon based Islamic militant group has opened their own multi-million dollar theme park that glorifies “martyrdom” against Israel.
In the newly created theme park in Mleeta, a Lebanese city, you can tour tanks, see rockets and barbed wire, and view archival video footage of the war with Israel. If that isn’t enough to excite you, there is also a section of an assortment of guns and other weapons used by the Lebanese army in war.
After you are finished touring the replica war scenes featuring destroyed Israeli tanks and other scenes of death and destruction, you can stop at the video theater and watch a “history of Hezbollah,” which goes on to detail the terrorist group’s qualm with their Jewish neighbor state.
Ryan Duffy of Vice.com visited the park to “learn how this group that started as a ragtag militia in the 1980s has skillfully used propaganda to transform itself into a military and political force to be reckoned with, and how anti-Hezbollah groups are trying to compete in this war of words.”
Duffy describes the theme park as “the latest PR offensive” from the Shia Muslim group that refers to itself as the “Party of God.”
The park combines what The Huffington Post describes as an “almost-unbelievable combination of family-friendly attractions and Iranian-backed anti-Israel propaganda.”
