How to Maintain the Credential

To maintain any ABCHS certification, certification holders must submit (30) Continuing Education Units (CEU) credits per three-year recertification cycle. CEU credits can be earned by reading relevant CE articles in ABCHS’s peer-reviewed journal, Inside Homeland Security, and completing the corresponding test material. CE credits can be earned by completing relevant subject matter courses and certificate programs through other approved and recognized associations and organizations. CE credits can also be earned by participating in courses and workshops at ABCHS’s annual national conference, which features keynote speakers and informative presentations on relevant subject areas. Members in good standing are provided online access to continuing education credit opportunities. All ABCHS certificates are dated.
