New CHS board member Dr. Janet Schwartz brings to the table a wealth of experience in forensic fraud research and investigation. She has been retained as a consultant by both public and private entities and has given testimony as per her findings to officials at the state level, including the Attorney General and committee hearings of the Ohio Senate, and the federal, including the United States Department of Justice, Washington D.C.

Schwartz has served on the American Board of Forensic Examiners Board of Scientific and Technical Advisors since 1997, serving as that committee’s chair in 2001. An exhaustive list of her community service roles has earned her respect from a wide base of colleagues. Recently, she was awarded The 2007 Outstanding Leadership & Exceptional Service Award by the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute.

Schwartz's scholarship has been published in both medical as well as law enforcement journals. The spring issue of The Forensic Examiner will feature an excerpt of her 2007 CHS National Conference Seminar: “The Psychological Profile of a Spy.” She is in wide demand as a public speaker, and has made multiple media appearances, including participation in talk radio interviews; further, she has been the topic of many news print articles, particularly during her run for the Ohio Senate. In October of 2007, she was the Keynote Speaker at the ACFEI/ APA National Conference Banquet in Kansas, City, Missouri.
