Eric C. White is a recognized expert in the fields of homeland security, global retail asset protection, crisis management, executive protection, and physical and people protection. In 2009, White was honored with the appointment of Fellow, the highest level of membership status, by the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security (ABCHS) for his innovative work and leadership in the private sector, and he currently serves as vice chairman for the board of directors and as a faculty instructor. White is an adjunct professor for the Institute for Corporate and Public Safety and has taught Department of Homeland Security-certified courses in business continuity and emergency response to public- and private-sector students and practitioners throughout the country and around the world.

White graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in criminology. He holds a graduate certificate in international security management from Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies and has graduated from the Kellogg School of Management Senior Executive Leadership Program at Northwestern University. He has trained with private security and federal agencies in protective techniques and holds several security industry designations.

During a 17-year career with Wal-Mart Stores Inc., White developed and led several key global security initiatives including global readiness, crisis management, global supply chain security, enterprise risk management strategy for terrorism, executive protection, homeland security, aviation security, and traveler safety. White has also led an Asset Protection division at The Home Depot with responsibility for profit protection, shrink reduction, facility safety, crime prevention and response, and environmental and regulatory compliance for 800 stores and an organization of more than 760 asset protection professionals under his direct leadership.

White has personally led response teams during major incidents around the world that range from natural disasters to acts of terrorism. He has worked in pre-event planning, on the front line responding to crisis, and in the emergency operation centers for the private sector, state and federal agencies. He has also conducted numerous executive protection assignments around the world and taught crisis management principals and executive protection academies in 15 countries.

In addition to his work in the corporate arena, White is very active in the law enforcement community, serving as a commissioned police officer in the state of Arkansas for almost10 years. He achieved the rank of major and was a motor officer, SWAT team member, and training officer. He holds several law enforcement training credentials including active shooter and WMD response. Additionally, White served as president of the board of directors for the Children’s Safety Center and was vice president of the Board of Directors for the Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as director of retail strategy at Wren Solutions, a provider of security solutions.
